BREW SUGGESTIONS

French Press, Pour Over, Drip, Espresso (recommended)

"This blend is definitely my favorite out of every one that i’ve tried! Whether it had been one I bought myself or something at a friends house. You can really taste the nutty chocolate notes and smell them too! Very very high quality coffee. Can’t wait to restock mine!"

CHOOSE YOUR BREW METHOD

The beans should be very finely ground, less coarse than sand, but not so fine that the machine can't even push water through the portafilter. For a double shot, grind between 18–21 grams of coffee into your basket. The proper grind is crucial to a balanced, delicious shot of espresso!

For drip coffee making we recommend a water to coffee ratio of 17:1 (or about 10 grams of coffee for every 6oz cup of coffee.) For a stronger pot of coffee or if using a French Press, use a water to coffee ratio of 15:1

Use a coarse grind and add 2 tbsp of dark roast per 6 oz of hot water. Pour, wait 4 minutes, then press and serve. Don’t let it sit too long after or it’ll get bitter.

Best coffee ever!!

Simply the best coffee I've ever had, been drinking it since 2020, and I can't ever go back to anything else. I have also tried some teas, hot chocolate, chocolate covered coffee beans, other flavors of coffee and the soap, and have been extremely happy with everything!

COFFEE FAQS

  • Top of the Mornin’ started with high quality coffee. We small batch roast, just before shipping, using the highest quality beans that are responsibly sourced. We built Top of the Mornin’ on our passion for craft coffee.
  • We work to find only responsibly, sustainably, and ethically sourced beans. This means we look into the grower and try to get to know their story. We avoid corporate owned farms and prefer family owned farms or coops. When it comes to the coffee, we only order specialty grade coffee.

We change the origin(s) of the blends from time to time as beans come in and out of availability. Our goal is to keep the taste profile of the coffee consistent over time.
  • We order only specialty grade coffee, which is the highest rating coffee can get. To be specialty grade the coffee must be almost entirely free of defects and stand out in one attribute.
  • Top of the Mornin’ Coffee is small batch roasted. Small batch roasting ensures better temperature control of the beans during the process which prevents burning or inconsistent flavor. The beans you order have usually been roasted just before shipping to assure maximum freshness.
  • When ordering the coffee beans, you can choose to have the beans come to you whole, or pre-ground. Whenever beans are ground, they start to deteriorate faster. For the best cup of coffee, we suggest ordering whole beans and grinding them yourselves with a "Burr Mill Grinder."
