The darkest coffee you can put in your cup, with beans roasted to the edge of awesome. Craft, with the lights off.

Make Cold Brew: Place coffee filter in 8 oz of water. Brew in fridge for 12-24 hours. We recommend 18-20 hours. Pour over ice. Add cream if you wish!

Make Hot Coffee: Place the single serve filter in a cup and pour 8-10oz of hot water over the bag. Dunk the bag (just like a tea bag!) for 15-30 seconds and then let it brew for 3-5 minutes. Includes 10 packages.

Delightfully Strong

These sachets brew delightful cups of coffee. I brewed it at four minutes with about 10 oz of water, and the coffee was strong and flavorful. I can’t compare the roast to its traditional bean form because I haven’t tried them yet, but on its own, the notes of the dark roast really come through.

In texture and taste, it’s most similar to what you’d get from a French press. It’s thick with a lot of fines, which I personally don’t mind, but if you’re used to drip or pour over methods, this may be stronger than you expect.

When looking at other options for coffee like this, I’m concerned with waste, but every element of the sachets are (industrially) compostable, so that eases my mind. I also appreciate the practical packaging, in which you can remove the top of the box to neatly display the bags.

These are great for when I don’t want to make a mess with my pour over at work, or when I’m traveling/camping, which is an upgrade from my instant coffee packets. At $2 per sachet, this is reasonably priced, convincingly convenient, and delightfully strong. Great work Seán and TotM team!

Top of the Mornin’ started with high quality coffee. We small batch roast, just before shipping, using the highest quality beans that are responsibly sourced. We built Top of the Mornin’ on our passion for craft coffee.
We work to find only responsibly, sustainably, and ethically sourced beans. This means we look into the grower and try to get to know their story. We avoid corporate owned farms and prefer family owned farms or coops. When it comes to the coffee, we only order specialty grade coffee.

We change the origin(s) of the blends from time to time as beans come in and out of availability. Our goal is to keep the taste profile of the coffee consistent over time.
We order only specialty grade coffee, which is the highest rating coffee can get. To be specialty grade the coffee must be almost entirely free of defects and stand out in one attribute.
Top of the Mornin’ Coffee is small batch roasted. Small batch roasting ensures better temperature control of the beans during the process which prevents burning or inconsistent flavor. The beans you order have usually been roasted just before shipping to assure maximum freshness.
